Aspiring Sports Broadcasting

Arizona State vs Oregon

The other half of my blog is supposed to cover relevant football events, and so far I haven’t put up anything sports related.  However, this past weekend previously #18 Arizona State traveled to Eugene, Oregon to face the #9 Oregon Ducks.  A win would of ranked the Sun Devils close to the top 10, and also have them tied for first place in the entire Pac 12.  Students at ASU couldn’t of been more excited at the possibility for a win on the road in Eugene.

Saturday night came, and Arizona State came out of the gates with a higher intensity than the Ducks, quickly going up 7-0.  As the game went on the Ducks running game overpowered ASU’s front seven, and Oregon ended up winning 41-27 sending the Sun Devils back to Tempe with a 5-2 record.

The Sun Devils are now tied for last place in the AP Top 25 coming up on their bye week.  From a student’s perspective this loss was a huge blow to the momentum the team has gained this year, however I don’t believe our season is over.

The students at Arizona State University are the biggest supporters and fans of their football team, when the Sun Devils play at home they play much better than they do on the road.  If the Sun Devils want to turn their season back around they are going to continue to need the support of their biggest fans. I decided to get one student’s opinion on the future of the 2011 Arizona State Sun Devils.

Carter IV

Hip Hop artist Lil Wayne released his Carter IV album on September 10, 2011.  In the first week The Carter IV sold over 964,000 units even with the album leak a few days prior to the release.

Although the album sold almost a million copies in the first week, many fans are upset with the lack of soul Lil Wayne put into the album.  Here’s what a few kids at Arizona State University had to say about the album
